The Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) Narrowbanding mandate requires all two-way radio licensees to migrate to a Narrowband 12.5 kHz channel by December 31, 2012. This will result in twice as many radio frequencies available for business users.

This modification isn't optional, it is a mandate. Your organization's existing radio equipment and license need to be updated. Failing to do so will result in your organization losing your FCC license and potentially fines (possibly large fines!)

Any organization needing to file for new or modified licenses should expect the processing time to take longer than usual, because tens of thousands of applications are being filed on top of the FCC's normal workload. Waiting until December 2012 to file your paperwork is NOT in your best interest.

Start securing your two-way radio frequency ahead of the deadline to ensure you have a smooth transition and that your communication isn't interrupted.

To make it easy for you to meet the FCC requirements, Electronic Engineering will audit your two-way radio equipment to help you determine what needs to be replaced, what needs to be updated and what paperwork needs to be filed.

When you are ready to update and file your license modifications, reprogram equipment and migrate to your Narrowbanding channel - count on the experts at Electronic Engineering.
